Laisa Otukolo is the Founder of Centred Care Collective, bringing over 20 years of experience working alongside children, young people, individuals with disabilities, and families across both government and non-government service settings.
Laisa’s background includes high-school teaching, administration, and management roles, as well as more than a decade coordinating community organisations and family-focused programs. Her career has spanned frontline support work through to operational leadership, including experience as a Support Worker, Coordinator and Operations Manager within Community, Youth and Disability Services.
Laisa holds formal qualifications in Community and Human Services including Mental Health, Education, Child Youth & Family Intervention, Community Sector Management. She is also a qualified trainer with a strong focus on Child Safety Standards, legislative compliance, and safe service delivery.
Laisa’s approach is grounded in trauma-informed practice, cultural respect, accountability, and continuous learning. While qualifications are important, she believes that ethical leadership, strong governance, and lived sector experiences are equally critical in delivering safe, person-centered, and responsive support.
